Newport Beach Staycation.

Spring Break was the best.  We drove a whole 10 miles to stay at the Marriot Newport Coast Villas.  It was heavenly.  An entire weekend of quality family time.
We spent hours at the pool... 

  watched movies in bed...

watched cartoons in bed...

went to Balboa Island for the day...

rode the ferry...

rode the ferris wheel...

 

ate Balboa bars...

ate dessert every night...

relaxed...

and hung out...

went for rides on the luggage rack...

brought so much food that we had to call for back-up to help eat it all (thanks Menloves)...

mastered the art of making s'mores...

 

and eating s'mores!

 I LOVE this family of mine.

 

June-bug is 5!

This girl had a special birthday at Disneyland with Momoo and Dadoo.  This this the only picture we have to show for the day but I am certain it was a very HAPPY birthday for June-bug.   

 

 

 

 

June is a bundle of personality and spunk.  She has a loving heart and many friends.  She does not like to be told what to do, but then again who does?  She has been attending a special-needs preschool class where she was asked to help and be an example to some of her peers who cannot talk, throw tantrums, and have difficulties.  She has made great friends with two girls Ollie (Olivia) and Maya.  June helps them by holding their hand and helping them stand in line.  I have loved watching this girl grow into a leader, showing compassion for those with differences.  Happy birthday to this sweet 5 year old.

We have some news...

 Because having 3 kids is such a cinch, we are having a 4th...

and It's a BOY (yes, there were tears about that, but everyone is happy about it now)

60th Birthday Surprise!

My mom turned 60 on February 24th, 2014.  She is the kindest, most thoughtful, giving person I know.  It was only logical to throw her a surprise party with her closest girlfriends.  My sisters and I planned a "Favorite Things Party" centered around my mom.  It was so great to see so many faces from all parts of my moms life.  To say that she is LOVED would be an understatement indeed!   

She had NO CLUE any of this was going on.  We were all dying because she stood at the entrance of the room forever in total shock and disbelief. 

We LOVE you mom!  You are indeed a "favorite thing" in all of our lives!

Valentine's Day.

We had a very random Valentine's Day this year.  We had been talking about getting away and going somewhere fun but between school and work schedules it never seemed to happen.  My sister Emily offered to let us use her hotel deal, we just had to meet her in Ontario.  Long story short, we met up with the Martinos and Menloves for a teppanyaki dinner in the Inland Empire and then Adam and I stayed at a Marriott in Ontario of all places.  We went shopping for the weekend, ate out, relaxed. and totally enjoyed our time away from the business of life.  I loved reconnecting and just focusing on each other without the distractions of kids, work, phones, etc.  It is safe to say that we still love each other after all these years!
