Cousin Joshua, nurse Zachy, and "Charlos"

Alli loves taking care of Charlie and being the big cousin. From the time he was a baby she would stand about an inch from his face and say, "Hi my sweet cousin!" Even after Jen came home from the hospital Alli would call Joshua "sweet cousin!" I am pretty sure now she has learned to call him her brother.

We were hanging out at the Menlove's a few weekends ago and I heard the funniest, cutest conversation as the kids were in the playroom.
Alli: "Okay, Zachy, you be the doctor."
Zachy: "No, I want to be the nurse."
Alli: "Okay, I'm the doctor and you're the nurse Zachy."
Zach: "Otay!" (while holding Mr. Cuddles and sucking his thumb)
Alli: "Charlie can be sick... Charlie boy, come over here."
Alli: "CHARLOS, CHARLOS, come and play doctor."

10 months

This picture says it all! Charlie is a total wiggle-worm, crawling all over the place and climbing up on everything. He is the happiest kid around. He loves going on wagon rides to get the mail with dad. He actually said "Dada" while Adam was out of town but we have not heard him say it since then. Our boy has 8 teeth and more on the way and his favorite thing now is blowing raspberries with all his excess drool.

Happy Easter!

We had a great time in Vegas over the Easter weekend. Charlie loved being with all his cousins. This picture of Reese, Clara, Audrey, and Charlie on the hammock shows how much fun he had.The big line-up for the Easter egg hunt.
Hailey was such a big help, she fed and played with Charlie every second she got.
After church on Sunday we went outside to take a few pictures. Charlie and Reese just wanted to play with Daisy... actually, Reese wanted to hug and kiss Daisy and Charlie wanted to eat her fur. My cute boys!
What's wrong with this picture? Easter Sunday family picture. Charlie and his Easter basket. He loved all the goodies the Easter bunny brought. He especially loved the "cat toys" and plastic squeaky chicken... sadly, the church books were his least favorite. We hope everyone had a great Easter... we sure did!

So proud of himelf...

Last week Charlie learned how to pull himself up in his crib. I was in the room when he did it for the first time and he stood there laughing forever!

Our big boy is three-quarters of a year old... wow! Charlie is crawling everywhere and putting all kinds of things in his mouth, including Kleenex, birthday candles, and the mail (his favorite). This month Charlie started saying "mama," he learned how to clap, and he got his first ear infection. He is weighing in at a whopping 20 lbs. and LOVING every bite of new food he tries. The Buster's crazy hair makes such a statement everywhere we take him. This week at church our bishop came up to me and said, "Charlie's hair is like mohawk meets static electricity." We love our little man.

I love my Grandma...

... even though this picture makes it look like I am scared of her!! We spent most of the weekend in Monrovia (big surprise). We had a little birthday bash for mom... she turned 54 yesterday even though she thought she was turning 53! She is the greatest grandma. She loves taking care of Charlie and all her grandkids. She insists on changing poopy diapers, feeding time, giving baths, going on walks, and the list goes on. She lives for being a GRANDMA and we are so lucky to have her in our lives.

8 months

This is the cutest, goofiest picture of Charlie, I love it that you can see all 3 of his teeth (the 4th bottom tooth is still m.i.a.). His two top teeth are starting to poke through, so by next month Charlie will be ready to rip into a huge steak... and he would if we let him. Our little Buster still loves the sound of his voice, he has added grunting and screaming to his list of skills mastered.
This picture shows off Charlie's wild hair. (I think he is trying to keep up with his cousins Alli, Skylar, and Grace with their crazy do's.) I thought that as his hair grew it would start to lay flat, but instead it just keeps getting taller and poofier.
We started swimming lessons this month with Charlie's lady friends Emmy, Zoe, and Reagan (not pictured). Charlie loves the water and he especially loves chewing on all the pool toys.

Lately, Charlie has been putting everything in his mouth, and I mean EVERYTHING! We were at my friend Tiffany's house this weekend and she was sitting on the couch just minding her own business. Charlie was on the floor playing with some toys but he was distracted my Tiff's feet. Charlie kept eyeing her toes and before we knew it he was going to town biting and chewing on her foot... kind of gross, but hilarious!
So, Charlie still loves chow time. He kicks his feet, moans, and then gives a long Mmmmm!! every time he eats. Rather than explaining I thought you could witness the "thrill of the meal" for yourself.
