All of you who know and love my dear husband have seen him in his camo shorts a time or two thousand!! Now, these camo's have been around longer than I have. Adam wears these shorts at least 2-3 times a week in the summer time and about once a week in the winter. I have had family members ask if he has any other shorts (yes, he does). Adam was at an activity last week with the young men in our ward and he decided to play a pick-up game of basketball in his shorts... and the rest is history... well, maybe not. Adam came home with the torn shorts and then quickly asked if I can sew the rip. We shall see if I am going to be the nice wife or if the shorts just need to rest in peace, they have had an extremely busy life!!

R.I.P

Nora....are you kidding me...for the sake of humanity SEW those shorts. They are to Adam like apple pie is to america or like salt is to pepper or like I am to fast eating. Adam just wouldn't be the same with out those...infact of the surf pictures on my wall with adam in them 100% have him with these shorts on. I look forward to our Spring Training trip this year (pending you having to help your sis with her new baby...hahaha) where Adam will wear these amazing fasionable shorts. I beg you Nora please fix them if not for him than please just do it for your son...he needs to be able to one day see these things and than will truely understand what kind of Man his father really is. -E

I think sew them up. When you say you want his shorts to RIP, it's like a little part of him would RIP too. I do understand though how you are probably totally sick of them.

Whoa now! These shorts must be a big deal to get a comment from Riewerts! :) I have seen those shorts before, but haven't been around him enough in the past oh 13 years to see him in them regularly. They sound pretty special though. How funny! Tom has a shirt like that from high school with holes in it that he just won't let me get rid of. So lovely.
Trash them! Sorry Adam but Kevin has a few items of clothing like that and I would take an opportunity like that in a second ;).

Sounds like it's time for a bonfire! Hmmm. . . I wonder if I ripped some holes in some of my clothes--maybe Jason would let me go shopping? Nope. Anyway, back to the shorts--burn em! Time to move on.
The thing I do is put them in the "wash", but for some reason they never resurface. Then he ends up finding something else to wear until they are paper-thin and forgets about the first thing entirely. Just a little trick I've learned. Taylor doesn't read the comment sections of the blogs, so my secret should be safe (unless Adam happens to slip and inform him).
If you've gotta ball it up in those shorts 1) I'll buy some basketball shorts... when's your birthday? I'll even throw in some new shoes, 2) sorry Adam, this rip was a apocalyptic. I had a pair of beloved shorts a few years back, and when they caught on something & got all torn up, I knew it was time to move on.
Funny! We have even seen him in them! And we live in Utah!
Adam was simply emulating his pioneer ancestors who wore each item of clothing until it was so threadbare it could no longer be used as clothing. Those shorts are just getting broken in and have years of life left in them. Adam, if Nora won't sew them you must repair them yourself, even if that means using a stapler.
