Ready for SISTER.

It is time for our little lady to arrive. The house is clean. The room is ready... (We are still deciding between four different names. Two of the names begin with a J so I figured what the heck, might as well decorate.)

We took our last picture as a family of three... Adam and I had a date night. We got a spa pedicure and went to dinner.Charlie is sleeping like a champ in his "big-boy" bed.
And we have been trying to spend some quality time with our buster-boy. Here he is in his new favorite accessory...
...at McDonald's with Daddy.

... at Disneyland with Alli and Zach.
...and Mommy and Daddy.
The belly keeps growing and I think baby girl is pretty content there. My bags are packed and we are READY, so hopefully she comes soon. (My mom thinks the baby is being stubborn like "someone else she knows," who could that be?) Next post...we will be a family of four!

Santa Ana Zoo.

We met up with Mandy, Travis and Brant at the Santa Ana Zoo yesterday. It was a nice distraction that took my mind off of waiting for this baby to come. Charlie and Brant had a ton of fun together. I think they enjoyed the carousel ride and time on the playground more than the animals. Brant looks like he is going to fly off the slide!
What do they say... a picture is worth a thousand words.

Thanks for a fun day Smith's!

Jiggity-Jig!!

I was just telling Adam this morning that it was too bad I was not in labor on St. Patty's Day; it would have been awesome to tell our baby girl that mommy's jig started labor and got her here! So, this is for all those of you who have requested the jig, only this time is the new and improved big belly version. I did not even bother having Adam video this, I did it while he was gone. He is SO mortified by it all... and I LOVE it!!!

A blast from the past...

I got SO swollen at the end of my pregnancy with Charlie. Maybe it was because the weather was warmer and I was teaching and on my feet all day. In reality, I think I just got lazy and parked my butt on the couch way too much. I am sure my legs did not get enough circulation, so as a result, my feet looked like blown up surgical gloves! Well, I have been doing much better this pregnancy with little to no swelling at all. HOWEVER... the other night my feet started to itch... I freaked out! The last time I had itchy feet was when this nasty picture was taken a few days before Charlie was born. My skin was so tight and stretched to the max that it became itchy. I have less than two weeks before this baby comes so hopefully my feet won't start to swell. The one random thing is my ear lobes have also been itching... maybe it's all in my head and I am just starting to go crazy! (I am sure Adam would agree with that statement!)

Buddies.

Time for a new post... this one goes out to Charlie's favorite buddy, Zachy-boy! Charlie LOVES his cousin Zachary. His face lights up every time Zach is around and Zach usually puts up with Charlie's crazy behavior. We were at a family get-together one time and Charlie was straddling Zachary and hitting him. Zach just took the blows and whimpered "Charlie, say your sorry," as Charlie just pounded away. I think these pictures were taken after a time-out when we made Charlie apologize for hitting Zach... once again. They do have lots of fun together too and despite all the hitting, Charlie simply adores sweet Zachy-boy!

Labor Pains.

On Tuesday, we surprised my mom and took her to Disneyland for her birthday. We had such a fun day! As we were leaving the park I sat down on a bench to rest with Charlie while my mom and Adam went into a store. I saw a lady sitting on the bench next to me who was obviously nine months pregnant. I smiled and said "I know how you feel!" She gave me a weird look of no you don't and leave me alone. Her husband was standing there too with a toddler in the stroller next to him. He kept looking at his watch. Then another family member walked up and asked, "How far apart are they?" They were timing her contractions!! Before I knew it the husband was running out of Disneyland to get the car and this pregnant lady was bent over, holding onto the stroller in serious pain. Oops! When I said "I know how you feel" I was referring to being tired after walking around Disneyland all day, not being in labor! I'm getting scared...
