3 months.

It is amazing how quickly time flies. Charlie is three months old and cuter than ever. He is giggling like crazy and he talks like we can actually understand what he is jabbering about. He has discovered his hands, so they are constantly in his mouth. He occasionally chokes on a finger or two that goes a bit too far back in his throat; it's the funniest thing! Charlie often eats to the point of falling asleep or being in a "milk coma," but as soon as I sit him up to burp him he goes nuts. It is like he is realizing the food fest is over and he can hardly handle it. His latest thing is he likes to have his eyes covered to help get to sleep. There are times when he is hysterical and as soon as we cover his face he calms down. "Little Buster" is Charlie's newest nickname... I am not sure how it came about, but I can imagine it happened while his feisty personality was in full effect. Until next month...

Charlie with his BUDDIES!!!

Charlie and Zachy-boy hanging out on the couch after a fun day at the beach.
Shelley, Evan, and Skylar were in Carlsbad last week for a family reunion. We met up with them at the beach and Evan was so excited to meet his cousin Charlie.
Our friend's Ben and Shelley moved down from Utah for the summer for an internship. Their little boy Grant was born about a month after Charile and we had a great time becoming new parents together. The two boys were instant friends so we figured what better than a snuggly stroller ride? (I think Shelley and I were more entertained by the whole thing than either of the boys were.) Here is a picture at the beginning of our walk...

... and this is how the walk ended!!

"The best two years of my life!"

Adam and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary yesterday. We dropped Charlie off at Grandma's house and then Adam took me to the Melting Pot for dinner. It took us about two and a half hours to eat, there was so much food. We both said that we have found our new favorite restaurant and that we might need to make that our annual anniversary tradition. Being the food lovers that we are we realized that it does not take an exotic trip to make us happy, just some fine dining. (Although I am sure I won't be saying that if he tried to just take me to dinner on our 10 year anniversary! By then we need some serious jewelry or a tropical vacation... hint, hint.) Adam told me that many guys speak of their missions as the best two years of their life but his best two have been with me! What a charmer!! I must say that I feel like one lucky gal to be married to such a great guy.

Happy Anniversary.

(written by Jennifer Menlove)
Two years has gone by fast! I was also reminiscing about our Italy trip one year ago this past week. The only pictures I have of just the two of you are from that trip, otherwise my kids are in them! Happy Anniversary!!

Adam is a great husband to carry such a heavy load!
Adam: "Do you want to go make a baby?"
Nora: "Uh, let me think about it...ok!"

The happy couple sailing off into the sunset
So sweet!

The STATS are in...

Charlie had is 2 month appointment yesterday. He is 13 pounds and 24 inches. He is in the 75th percentile for both height and weight. I forgot to bring my camera to the doctor's office but I thought this picture captured the look on his face when he got is shots. I do not like to see my boy cry but I sure do love the face he makes when he is so sad!

Matching...

I love this picture, Charlie looks so grown up and Adam looks just as handsome as always!

Our trip to Mexico

It has been a busy month full of adventures. We spent 5 days in Mexico on a trip Adam won from being such a hard worker!! We had a difficult time getting there because we could not prove that Charlie's passport information was in progress. (It's a long story...) The entire airport portion of the trip was drama... it included 2 missed flights, our video camera being left on the plane (my fault, but we got it back), a cell phone being left on the airport shuttle 2 different times, and a piece of our luggage not making it home. All that drama was worth it though because the trip itself was so much fun.

This is the view from the balcony of our hotel room. During our stay Adam swam with the dolphins and took a zip-line through the desert. After he came back from his adventures each morning I spent the afternoon in the hotel spa getting a mani, pedi, facial, and massage. I decided that I can get used to all that pampering.

We met up with the Hoggan's and spent much of the week with them. Carter works for Pfizer and has been friend's with Adam for long time. It was so nice because they brought their 5 month old Ryder. Adam and Carter hung out with each other while Kaylee and I nursed the boys and chilled by the pool together!!
This is Maricela, Charlie's first babysitter. The last night of our trip there was a big dinner... NO KIDS ALLOWED!!! The hotel provided a "certified babysitter" to watch Charlie and Ryder (our friend's little boy). We were just downstairs in a banquet room so we ran upstairs every hour to check on things. All went well and Charlie behaved like a champ!

We packed Charlie's bouncer... best idea EVER!!! Adam and I hung out at the pool while Charlie slept. I think the sound of the waves crashing in the distance helped him to sleep an extra long time.
My two mariachi boys! Viva MEXICO!!
